Hello again!
I hope this letter finds you all healthy, happy and ready
for a great summer.
First of all Carmen and I would like to say how much we enjoyed
our Bossa Nova tour, and
thank everyone for their involvement: the band, the staff
and crews at all the venues, and of course the fantastic audiences.
We hope everyone enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
We look forward to continuing on with the celebration of 50+
years of this great music - The Bossa
Nova - and in fact Carmen and I are in the studio now
recording a bunch of those classic songs.
As Most of you know Metro, the band I founded with Mitchel
Forman over 10 years ago released a new CD a few months back
and we are happy to say that the response and reviews have
been great (you can read the reviews at metrojazz.com)
- and now it is high time for us to get out on the road and
play the music LIVE!!!
Because of prior commitments and scheduling, regular band
members Wolfgang Haffner and Will Lee won't make most of the
summer gigs, so we have put together a new cast of characters
and even expanded the line-up for these upcoming shows.

The Cats are Back!!!!
With Will Lee and Wolfgang Haffner
Eric Marienthal and Special Guest Wallace Rooney on Trumpet
For the third year in a row I will be doing a week of Trio
gigs at my favorite club in Berlin Germany, The A-Trane Jazz
Club. It will feature Wolfgang Haffner and Bassist extraordinaire
Dieter Ilg. The dates are August 19 thru 23.

As Usual things are pretty busy in the Studio. We are simultaneously
working on new CD's for Carmen, myself and Lizzy - so the
lights stay on pretty late... details will be forthcoming
as the projects near completion and release.

I have mentioned in the past that I was trying my hand
at writing a novel. Well I have finished the first draft of
Double Read, a spy/crime
thriller, and I have decided to post a portion of it for anyone
interested to check out. The first 3 chapters are available
